Terms of Service

Effective date: 1 April 2026 — Last updated: 22 April 2026

These Terms govern your use of the Fabz Hair and Beyond website and the hair services we provide at our studios. By visiting our website or booking an appointment, you agree to these Terms. Please read them — they are short and written plainly.

Our Services

Fabz Hair and Beyond provides professional loc styling, installation, maintenance, and related hair care services at our studios in Embakasi, CBD, and Kitengela, Nairobi.

Our website is an informational and booking-enquiry tool. It does not constitute a binding contract for services until confirmed by a member of our team.

Appointments & Bookings

Appointments can be made by calling any of our branches, via WhatsApp, or through our website booking form. A booking is confirmed only after you receive direct confirmation from a Fabz stylist or receptionist.

  • Cancellations — please notify us at least 24 hours in advance so we can offer the slot to another client.
  • Late arrivals — arriving more than 15 minutes late may result in your appointment being shortened or rescheduled, depending on the stylist's schedule.
  • No-shows — repeated no-shows without notice may result in a deposit being required for future bookings.

Deposits for High-Value Services

For services that require extended stylist time — including but not limited to loc installations, loc extensions, and starter locs — we may require a non-refundable deposit at the time of booking.

  • The deposit amount will be communicated to you at the time of booking and will be applied toward your total service cost.
  • Deposits are non-refundable in the event of a no-show or a cancellation made with less than 24 hours' notice.
  • If we cancel or reschedule your appointment, your deposit will be returned in full or transferred to the rescheduled date — your choice.

Pricing & Payment

Prices listed on our website are indicative starting prices. Final pricing depends on hair length, density, and the specific service requested, and will be confirmed at the time of your appointment.

  • Payment is accepted in cash or M-Pesa at our studios.
  • Full payment is due at the time of service unless otherwise agreed.
  • We reserve the right to update our pricing at any time. Updated prices will be reflected on our website.

Service Results, Corrections & Refund Policy

Hair services involve a degree of individual variation. Results depend on your hair type, condition, and maintenance. We will always discuss expectations with you before beginning any service.

If you are unhappy with a service, please let us know within 7 days of your appointment. We will do our best to address your concern with a complimentary correction appointment.

  • No cash refunds are offered for completed services. Our remedy is a redo or correction, not a payout.
  • Concerns raised after 7 days — including issues attributable to natural new growth, dryness, or failure to follow aftercare guidance — fall outside the scope of our correction policy.
  • Corrections are subject to stylist availability and must be booked within a reasonable time of the original appointment.

Health, Allergies & Scalp Conditions

Your safety and the safety of our other clients is our priority. Before your service begins, you are responsible for disclosing to your stylist:

  • Any known allergies or sensitivities to hair products, dyes, or latex
  • Any active scalp conditions, skin conditions, or open wounds on the scalp
  • Any recent medical treatments that may affect your hair or scalp

We reserve the right to decline or postpone a service where a stylist identifies a contagious scalp condition (such as ringworm or severe active infection), in order to protect you and our other clients.

Fabz Hair and Beyond is not liable for adverse reactions arising from undisclosed allergies or sensitivities. If you experience any discomfort during a service, please inform your stylist immediately so we can stop and assist you.

Product Sales & Returns

Where we sell hair care products (such as loc oils, gels, or accessories) in-studio, the following return policy applies:

  • Returns are accepted within 48 hours of purchase, strictly for items that are unopened and in their original sealed condition.
  • Opened, used, or damaged products cannot be returned.
  • To request a return, bring the product and your proof of purchase to the studio where you bought it.

Client Responsibilities

To help us deliver the best results, we ask that you:

  • Arrive with clean, detangled hair (unless a wash service is booked)
  • Inform your stylist of any scalp conditions, allergies, or sensitivities before the service begins
  • Follow aftercare guidance provided by your stylist to maintain your locs
  • Treat our staff with respect — we reserve the right to refuse service to anyone who is abusive or disruptive

Photography & Social Media

We love sharing our work. With your consent, we may photograph your finished style for use on our Instagram (@fabzhairandbeyond) or TikTok (@softlocske).

  • You may decline photography at any time — this will not affect your service.
  • If you later wish to have a photo removed, contact us and we will remove it promptly.
  • Photos of minors require explicit written consent from a parent or guardian.

Website Use

Our website is provided for informational and booking purposes. You agree not to:

  • Use our website in any way that could damage or overload it
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of our systems
  • Use automated tools to scrape or extract data from our website without permission
  • Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent booking enquiries

Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including text, photography, branding, and design — is owned by or licensed to Fabz Hair and Beyond. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use our content for commercial purposes without our prior written consent.

You are welcome to share links to our website or tag us on social media.

Service Availability

We make every effort to honour confirmed appointments. In the event that we are unable to provide a booked service due to circumstances beyond our control — including but not limited to power outages, staff emergencies, or public health directives — we will contact you as soon as possible to reschedule. We are not liable for any losses arising from such cancellations.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Kenyan law, Fabz Hair and Beyond is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from use of our website or services.

Our total liability in respect of any claim arising from a service is limited to the amount you paid for that service.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death, personal injury, or fraud caused by our negligence.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Kenya. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Kenya.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page when we do. Continued use of our website or services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
